Obviously this is last Saturday's strip, better late then never.  Got a little sick over the weekend, a wee bit of food poisoning, I think. My brother ate the same thing and he's kaput as well.

Alan Watts in his own words.  Wee bit of Real Audio snippets form my fav phliosopher Alan Watts.

Scares aplenty in 28 Days Later A typically subdued movie review by the BBC. "28 Days Later" offical site

The Young Voices of the World  Exchange program kids around the world write their thoughts.

Ten Appalling Lies We Were Told About Iraq  "The mainstream press, after an astonishing two years of cowardice, is belatedly drawing attention to the unconscionable level of administrative deception. They seem surprised to find that when it comes to Iraq, the Bush administration isn't prone to the occasional lie of expediency but, in fact, almost never told the truth."

The Merovingian Mythos: Its Symbolic Significance and its Roots in the Ancient Kingdom of Atlantis.  Long, long, long winded "history," by one of those nutcases, you know them.  I think they give this out to every Anime screenwriters.  Or try The Sumerian Origins of the Iconography of the Templars, Masons and Merovingians.

"Were you happy with the final cut of the film?"
"Hulk Mad! Film long! Film Boring! Hulk want more SMASH! Ang want more shots of empty desert! Hulk never work with Ang again!"

"As for the ubiquitous gesture Koreans make in pictures, see URL."  (via Regault)

"Welcome to the Monthly Harry Potter Fanart Challenge! What in the world is she talking about, you ask? Well, you see, each month, we'll present a different character, theme, or random idea for everyone to draw. The result is a great gallery of lots of great fanart for great people to look at greatly."

Pixelvision: A Meditation "Though it may seem like a more recent creation, the pixel first appeared in New Jersey in 1954, the same year that Elvis cut his first record and the transistor radio was invented. At Princeton's Institute for Advanced Study, mathematicians and engineers created the first computer graphic--and the first instance of digital typography--on a computer the size of a Manhattan apartment."

The Lost [Garfield] Comics  I haven't laughed at Garfield so much since 3rd grade.  (Is it me or all my links these days are about Garfield and Harry Potter?)

Don't Do the Dew  "Tucson porn-proprietor Tyrone Henry wants you to know that blowing your load on the faces of blindfolded, underage girls who think they're participating in a facial cream marketing study is not fraud or any other crime, no matter what the Arizona Court of Appeals said last month." (via Sensible Erection (NSFW))

Origins of [Idomatic English] Expressions It's all Greek to me!

Rob recommends the the original  Poke the Bunny.

Bizarre Brassieres: Stay Away From Marvelous's New Line   Hey, I've made fun of this comic too!

Kimchi cures SARS!  Or at least kimchi makers say so... the link to LA Times behind a paywall, so I scanned the original newspaper me self.

Speaking of eaters of kimchi, Derek cried, "Obviously, I'll never be able to experience childbirth... but damned if I don't wanna breast-feed these things. It's finally here, kids. At long last, the first Small Stories collection, Same Difference and Other Stories . It printed beautifully."

Scott McCloud's new webcomic, The Right Number [with the new Bitpay micropayment system.]  Hm....

One Word simple. you'll see one word at the top of the following page.
you have sixty seconds to write about it.

Clay Kitten Shooting  (Flash game) Meow!

The Definitive Penis Size Survey Results  Compiled from The Definitive Penis Size Survey.  Big surprise, the Black man doesn't support the biggest scholng, some white boys threw off the curve, appearently.  (Couple NSFW pics near the bottm of a long graph ridden page.  Via DFG, whose schlong pretty impressive too, I hear.)

National Geographic: Salem Witch-Hunt--Interactive  Burn her! A witch, witch!!!

Hosed down Panda.

Irish Fairly Tales  Folklore, etc.

WILD ZERO Review by Keith Allison
"I have seen the sort of film that gives you, or at least me, everything I always want from a film: sexy gals, sexy guys, bucketloads of cool, guns, zombies, explosions, UFOs, and rock 'n' roll.
...Ace is decked by a security guard, but after Guitar Wolf emerges victorious from the scuffle, lead guitarist and vocalist Guitar Wolf (the other guys in the band are Bass Wolf and Drum Wolf) slices open his own hand, slices open Ace's hand, and makes them "rock 'n' roll blood brothers."  He then gives Ace a whistle and tells him to blow it should he ever find himself in a heap of danger, which of course, he soon will.  The members of Guitar Wolf then ride off into the night in a muscle car and on a motorcycle that shoots jets of flame out the back.

So already this is the coolest movie ever made."

Welcome to the Internet.  No one here likes you.

PeaceBlogs.org The warbloggers have staked their claim on the internet, now it's our turn.

Vector Park Flash puzzle fun

The six key lessons of 911 "Bush has said that 911 changed everything for him. The lesson he learned is that we are not safe on our own soil. Since it is his sworn duty is to protect the US, his conclusion is that we must proactively fight terrorism and countries that support terrorists to prevent this from ever happening again. This justifies our war on Iraq. Most Americans believe him.
Unfortunately for all of us, Bush got it wrong. In fact, he got it totally backwards. He has completely misinterpreted "the lessons of 911." If we want to prevent another disaster like 911, we must remember the following six key lessons that the 911 terrorists have taught us:"

Hulk doll's monster willy "Curious Leah noticed a lump after winning the monster, catchphrase “You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry,” at a seaside fair.
And when she peeled off the green comic-book character’s ripped purple shorts, she found the two-inch manhood beneath them."

The Japanese Dating Sim/counterstrike Crossover!

The 800x600 Project  "Collages in this project are made up of 64 pictures total. All 64 pictures must be original photographs, taken by the collage's creator. Each individual picture in the collage is 100 pixels wide by 75 pixels high, oriented horizontally. Pictures should be arranged in an eight picture by eight picture grid, forming the final 800 pixel wide by 600 pixel high collage."

Live Nude Cats  Frolicking Furry Feline Photos Inside!

U.S. Puts Bounty on Hussein and Sons   Which reminds me to tell Saddam to keep out of my OJ.  He can buy his own!

Pain In The English.com  A grammer Nazi's Blogesque ponderings about the language, usage and such.

Clinical review: The brain, circadian rhythms, and clock genes

Aesthetics and Striptease  "The point of this paper is to discuss whether the unruly sexual nature of female striptease can warrant artistic applaud, or instead, must always demand aesthetic condemnation. I shall argue that the if the female nude, as she is displayed in striptease, is positioned and understood within an aesthetic-historical context, then there may be grounds for viewing her as legitimate."

Shockingly, there are no pictures.

Sadako does Japan "What do I want? Shall I alone know what it is to be cast to the depths, left alone to rot, unknown and in obscurity? NO ... I want all of existance to know what it's like, to be Yamamura Sadako."  It's silly, and better left unexplained.

Is President Bush A Homo?

The most important philosophical concept Matrix II provokes.

&

Four things that could have improved The Matrix: Reloaded

Stonehenge riddle 'solved.' It's a girl  "In the arrangement of the stones, the researchers say they have spotted the original design: female genitalia." (via Chris, the Animeraider)

Micropayments and Web Comics: Let's Do the Math

"Malefic Malfoy is a one shot sequential art short, set early in Harry Potter's fifth year. In which we discover which spells Draco learned over summer break, and examine how the character of each house at Hogwart's is expressed in the way it members deal with confrontation."

Cat Shit One  A surreal manga, it's one of the ones licensed by the new Manga division of ADV.  It's a straight Vietnam War story, with painted realistic backgrounds and technical details, but featuring animals.  No, not furries, real animals.  American soldiers are rabbits, Vietmin are cats and Chinese are pandas.

Everybody's Own Little World  A webcomic.

Beej's Pirate Image Archive (Yarrgh! via MF)

James sent me this web page embedded video he called, "Pingpongatrix."  I don't know, I assume it's Table Tennis with some wires, doesn't come out on Macs...

Japanese book may be inspiration for Bob Dylan songs "He has told his publisher, Tokyo-based Kodansha International, that while he would prefer to be credited as a source for Dylan's songs, he has "absolutely no plans to sue." There are no plans for a reprinted edition, either.
"Why would I sue? To take something that made people around the world happy and try to exploit it for money -- that's poverty," Saga said."  See, Americans and our litigious ways suck.  Dylan still rocks and so does this dude.

First Picture of Earth From Mars

Project Cryo "No, this is not an article about cooling. This is something little that you can do to make your mouse's life a bit better. Everybody wants to look good, your mouse too."

Just as a note, I enjoyed the last Matrix movie.  That's all.

Corporate Crime Reporter

Ring in the Sky: What Was That?  or Volcanic Smoke Rings  Cool, but NSFXS! (Not Safe For eX-Smokers (via MF))

Remember the strip where God gives you the finger?  Well here's photographic proof. (via memepool)

Amazing life story.    (Danny's life, for example)

Also, Caption Thing.

Are You a Connoisseur or a Cretin?  Take this Comics Journal Quiz and find out!

Movement fighter cancer dam Solid roux big cube RX-78-2 cancer dam.  Or, "Gundam Rubic's Cube" (via Asobi)

PS I think it's pretty funny that bot-translation of "Gun" from "Gundam" is cancer, as in the disease.

Man-Faye: The Greatest Cosplayer of All Times. (sound warning)

Letting the others do the work for you. "The web has given a huge toolkit to the comic creator opening up canvas size, mediums and perhaps most importantly audeince. A web tool that is just starting to grow is the possibility for interactivity and group art projects. The web allows anyone to put up anything, no matter how good or how bad it is, and most importantly you can do this almost effortlessly." (via Comixpedia)

Randall Duk Kim.com  (Imagine, the domain name wasn't taken yet!)

The Aphex Face "...about this hidden "demon face" in one of Aphex Twin 's tracks, #2 on "Windowlicker" .
This face was supposed to be viewable with a spectrograph program (basically a program that visualizes the sound spectrum), so I decided to try it myself."

Wanna see hot J-chicks hawking sugar water and other crap on TV?  They call'em CMs.

Sadaneko

You probably think this song is about you ... "You are your record collection, according to new research that reveals how personality is reflected through music."
