The comic will be updated when it's done. About the usual time. Since it's just set action pieces, I'll step up the schedule. (as much as, etc...)

Meanwhile, I've been getting literally hundreds of SoBig Windows worm spam a day.

Ad Whore, Ad Whore, Ad Whore.  ***Your Ad Here***

Yotsubato! Azuma "Azumanga Daioh" Kiyohiko's new manga. Disgustingly charming.

William Beckerson has updated his comic, "It's About Girls."   How did I know?  He told me so. Get it?

Slow Wave is a collective dream diary authored by different people from around the world, and drawn as a comic strip by Jesse Reklaw.

Ted Rall cartoon of the year "Ouch, sometimes the truth hurts." Ted Rall Online has some more Partisan Gems.

"The United States likes to think that all it confronts in Iraq are a few die-hard Saddamists. But Paul McGeough meets a new guerilla movement with growing popular support."

Have We Forgotten Anger in the Eyes? "Then you would see it. In the eyes. The clean, white fury of men who have been reduced to abject humiliation and powerlessness in front of their families. The hatred in their eyes would be as pure as any you would ever see. It would last forever. You would never forget it.

I saw those eyes again the other day on the evening news. A group of young American soldiers, sent by their government to go house to house in a sweltering Baghdad suburb, had kicked in a door and rousted a family. The children were terrified, crying. The mother was furious, screaming. The eyes of the GIs were filled with confusion and shame at what they were being made to do by their government."

Hand Signals

"Fully 30 million Americans -- one in four U.S. workers -- earn $8.70 an hour or less, a rate that works out to $18,100 a year, which is the current official poverty level in the United States for a family of four. These low-wage jobs usually lack health care, child care, pensions and vacation benefits. Their working conditions are often grueling, dangerous, even humiliating."  Tell me about it. (PS gimmie money!)

"When you've had trouble in a relationship, the Love Police were never around when you needed them. Not any more!
The Love Police are now as close as the Internet."

How Everyday Things are Made "If you've ever wondered how things are made - products like candy, cars, airplanes, or bottles - or if you've been interested in manufacturing processes, like forging, casting, or injection molding, then you've come to the right place."

Happy Tree Friends Brutal cute horrific Flash shorts (via Rickholio)

"Abbie Hoffman couldn't get a anyone to publish Steal This Book --thirty publishers turned it down. When the book was released, bookstores wouldn't carry it. Newspapers, TV and radio all refused to run advertisements. But despite these set backs, Steal This Book found its way on to the Best Seller list in 1971."  Read it for yourself, a bit outdated, of course...

That is one sulky 404.

Celebs Without Makeup Instant schadenfreude fun.

The Fellowship of the Rings Distorted in Japanese Subtitles News to me. The Korean subtitles usually suck too.

Zombie Alert - The Experts Speak "Although some ultra-liberal academics have suggested that zombiehood is simply a case of normal people who are metabolically challenged, the vast majority of scientists and researchers remain seriously concerned about the zombie threat to the American way of life."

Fear of Kim's Wetness Stirs Up Cheerleaders "Another peculiar scene with the North Korean cheerleaders unfolded Thursday as they noticed, while riding back from an archery competition, welcome banners with the image of their leader Kim Jong Il in conditions they didn't like.
The women, after demanding that their buses stop, protested in anger and shed tears before taking four banners down and carrying them away."  Ooh, hot communist cheerleaders...

Webcomic - The Paper Mill

Mia 1931 Comic, not a lot of it, but quality stuff. Do check out his portfolio.

6:35 webcomic.

Now you too can draw your own Journal Comic!

Welcome To Seeing Ear Theatre Sci-fi channel website has some great genre Audio Plays.
Neil Gaiman's Snow Glass Apples and Murder Mysteries. The silly The Martian Crown Jewels, trippy Elevator and a Pole, WB/UPN-esque Nostalgianauts, entertaining Moon Moth, the requisite angst vampire story In the Shade of the Slowboat Man, and even a whole Clive Barker novella The History of the Devil.  Plenty more. Many very lame. Some better. Awsome for work (if you can listen).

And if you get fed with cheesy melodrama, try To the Best of Our Knowledge, an NPR radio show about books and ideas...

"StoryRodeo is an independent, collaborative studio founded in 2003 by Kimberly Meyer and Julie Checkoway and dedicated to producing literary-quality documentaries." Along the lines of This American Life, The America Project, Sound Portraits, Transom, and Lost and Found Sound.

Also try Chicago Public Radio - Stories on Stage for Short Story audio readings from literry fiction, the you had to read in school, etc...

Add in personal tragedy and a spell of depression, and he could never see mental illness the same way again. Now he thinks diagnostic labels have no more predictive power than star signs and that plenty of people can live happily with severe psychotic symptoms."

George Rarey's World War II Air Force Cartoon Journals "In 1942 my father, George Rarey, a young cartoonist and commercial artist, was drafted into the Army Air Corps. He flew a P-47 before he drove a car. During his service he kept a cartoon journal of the daily life of the fighter pilots. A few weeks after D-Day he was killed in combat over France."

Blink and you'd miss it.

Hey, kids, you wanna draw too? Well keep practicing, try not to be a douchebag like this guy and start retarded threads. (My two cents on the third reply).

When do people learn languages? "My concern here is to look at what linguistics can tell us about why and when people learn a language . (Summary: It's not easy, so they'll try not to.)"

The Balducci Levitation You know, the David Blaine floating trick.

The Hans Holbein Dance of Death, masterpiece of the macabre, originally published in Lyons in 1538.

More Human than Human  A field guide for testing if the San Francisco mayoral candidates are human or not. "The only reliable method that we know of for sniffing out replicants is the Voight-Kampff Test, created by Phillip K. Dick in his book, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and later used by Harrison Ford’s character, Deckard, in the film Blade Runner."

Michael sends me this YAMAHA MOTOR - PAPER CRAFT link. Pity I already linked it before, Muha-Ha-Ha-Ha!

Welcome to the Onegai Twins Ecchi Gallery! "All images are taken from high quality raws, cropped, and postprocessed for increased sharpness and saturation."
Onegai Twins is a show that asks the age old moral conundrum, "I really want to nail these two girls, but they might be my SISTERS." It also features a blue eyed Jap. programmer named "Mike," so already this fulfills 90% of stateside anime geek's wildest fantasies.
All you lonely IT dudes and horny SC majors, finally a show about YOU!
It's that final step beyond Megatokyo!

Its horribly lilting artsy production values almost make you forget it's a show about wanting to fuck your sisters. Though I did want to nail several of my sister's friends (especially Grace, the tall Korean anti-semite who later got a nose job that made her look more Japanese then anything else), I can't rightly say I had a hankering for my own, even with her big boobs.

Realistically speaking, the characters would've made sweet Alabama Love all summer long, one of them would've had a mental break down, gotten pregnant, and after "Myku" used his hard earned money to abort the deformed monstrosity, they would have split, never to see each other for decades or so. Then the green headed girl in her middle age would write a torrid Anais Nin style memoir of their affair, of which the other two now married with kids would vehemently deny.

Remember the good old days when all Japanimation [!] was known for was Ultraviolent Ninja killers and Tentacle Porn? I miss those days.

Cast pictures for the new Live Action Sailor Moon Why I just saw that! Except in the one I saw, there was only one sailor, who was kinda chubby, and she was all tied up... and there were several masked dudes in speedos... and it didn't have a happy ending, well not for her anyway...
