Remember the little Video Tutorial fund drive
I had on the SUPPORT page hawking
hand made junk and sketches?
In two months, 29 people have
donated over $450!

A spectacular failure if I wanted to pay
the rent, but much better turn
out then expected.
So here's where the money went.

Much thanks to these Big Spenders:
Kerrick, Alejandro, Katalyn, John, Patrick, J Defibaugh, Ryan, Austin, Andrew, Kenneth, Jamie, Robert, Kris, David, Andrew, Whitney, Kerrick, Joe, Will, Mikko, Yen-Yi, Stacey, Nick, C Filipe, Matthew, Malik, Li, Tim, Cristian, and last but not least, Danny, who keeps sending me ¢13 donations that'll cost him more in CC bills.

I'm working on those sketches,
I thank you for your patience!

Used Sony TRV-120, discontinued.
8mm tape, 1394 IEEE (iLink/Firewire) port, has some dents
and the LCD display doesn't close properly, but seems to work fine.
Got it off a friend of my sister for $350.
I thought it was a pretty fair deal.
Camera mounting kit, $165, new.  It came with bunch of goodies like a window suction cup, grass spike and what not.  A bit on the expensive side, but the clamp is nice and strong.

Mounted over the table.  The whitish thing on top
is a paper dust cap for the veiwfinder lense.
Ariel & Sebastian.
 I rescued them from
a trash bin in Art School
five years ago.  Either that
or I stole it, I don't remember.
Notable as the sole
decoration
in the work area.

Closer view with LCD display out.
Overlooking the drawing area.

(Note the nice flatscreen monitor.
Ah 1999, the good
ol' days when the economy didn't suck and I still had credit!)
Unnecessary view of the bottom & underneath.

The camera is mounted to a dowel I "found" in the old apt. closet.
Trimmed to size, bolted to the side of the shelf.

A closer view.
The two screws keep the dowel from rotating from the camera weight.

So I've got a bunch of sketches in the backlog,
I suppose I'll run some test on those and get the
server/hosting thing resolved.
(Remind me to beg some more for a new
hard drive and a CD burner that works.)

Say something.
What do you think might make for a worthwhile "show?"
Suggestions wanted!
