My first try at the web. It was originally intended as advertising for the comic book. The ongoing story in the print would be supported by a weekly Internet gag strip. And after the print deal fizzled, I figured I'd just as well plunge in.

It's just Tsai Lu (the guy) and Mei (the gal). There is no story to speak of and the characters are given little to put them in context. I stopped at #9 when I realized this. (Also #9 took me 3 weeks to do.) At the end of the year (2000), I discovered Flash 4 and fiddled around a bit to bring the series to an end.

One the whole, I feel pretty "okay" about it. First time I really used the computer for the art. I do a lot of lame things first time cartoonist do (the gags and such), but that's inevitable... I think I got pretty proficient with Photoshop by #9, but I've forgotten most of it since...
